Disassembled and found 1-2 fork quite out of adjustment. I now have a case cut for adjusting forks so that will fix that. 3-4 fork looked ok.

Removed 3-4 gears and see I had assembled the slider backwards. I assembled the stake three time because of stupid mistake and guess I flipped the slider assembly.

Took some photos of the engagement teeth. 3rd has points chipped off but always worked well so not worried. Very little wear on side.

4th has a good bit of wear. I have read that the 9 bad teeth can be knocked off. Good idea? Easiest way?

Slider looks great.

Press the hub off of 4th then grind the 9 teeth off. Press off third and use it for 4th and 3rd hub on 4th. Clean everything very well and use sleeve retainer between the hub and gear. After pressed together I shoot for 1.288" -1.289" width. Less is ok but typically never over 1.290".

Thanks!

Getting 4th apart should be fun. Looks like good ideas here though.

Regular bearing seperator and a press, you will be suprised how easy they come apart.

That was easy. Used a section of drive shaft and filed it flat. Looked safer than a bearing separator. Taped off the good teeth so I didn't do anything stupid. Just need to pick up some sleeve retainer.

So a little unclear what direction the slider and hub go in. Is the groove side of the slider toward 4th and hub groove toward 3rd? No etching that is referenced in manual. Assume that is for order slider sets.

Back together and installed in the bus. Working perfectly. Smile Shifts smooth, stick just falls into the gears now.

Took a bit of fiddling to get the forks adjusted but got the hang of it after a bit.

Thanks for the advice!
