If you are having issues with the 500* paint coming off of the muffler. Get some 2000* muffler paint, paint your muffler and recoat with 500* grey. Wink

Has anyone tried using Rustoleum High Temp 2000 degree grey primer? I am thinking of trying it and clear coating it to protect it and give it a deeper paint like look. If anyone has tried it, how does it hold up? Is the color close to original at all?

Is this bus-specific or would it apply to a 66 bug too?

Which paint would be best for painting the intake manifolds/exhaust box/heat exchangers?

VHT Ford Grey
VHT Light Grey Primer
autotek VHT matt grey/silver
hycote silver grey VHT

It sounds like VHT flat grey is probably not a great colour!
