Finished up the popouts. They will need to come out eventually when I'm ready for the headliner

Also cleaned up one of the fuse blocks I had. Thought about using a modern blade fuseblock, but I put the original in. Tried the wiring cover for fit.

Got a Wiring Works harness for the bug, got the main harness installed and started car, dash lights go out when it fires up.

Decided to use the modern fuse block, have to mount it somehow and clean up the wiring

Finally wrapping up the wiring, made a base out of starboard for the new fuse block. Didn't drill into the car. Going to use some metal tabs underneath to lock it in place. I used a '67 harness and all the 12v components from a '67.

Just about buttoned up the wiring. Might add a positive distribution panel to the fuse block.

Took it outside for a drive in the driveway. Gotta touch up the driver door paint, and get the rear fenders on next.

Oh yeah! Got some more assembly done, was happy the fender welt was a dead match.

Next up will be mounting the rear bumper. I had an old original bumper that had this thick brace in the rear, so I painted it and using it for new bumper.

Thx man, I got the rest of the body panels on. Next up are the running boards. These aftermarket bumpers and brackets fit like ass. Gotta get longer chrome bolts and needs some tweaking.

I'm in the same boat, and need to run my Brazilian bumpers for awhile after I paint my car. They're not very good but at least they are shiny Very Happy

Got the bumper brackets in, door mechanisms, handles on and put side mirrors on. Just gotta finish buttoning up the running boards.

Thanks, yours looks good. Have you thought about lowering it some? I like the lowered look but not slammed.

Ordered all new window seals, felts, scrapers and new vent windows for the doors from WCM and WW. After a couple weeks got the passenger side door done.
