Decided to go with new Porsche style headlight lenses
New seals for the popouts, decided to fit one and need to drill holes for the latch

Finished up the popouts. They will need to come out eventually when I'm ready for the headliner
Also cleaned up one of the fuse blocks I had. Thought about using a modern blade fuseblock, but I put the original in. Tried the wiring cover for fit.

Got some new caps and fitted one on.
Got a Wiring Works harness for the bug, got the main harness installed and started car, dash lights go out when it fires up.
Decided to use the modern fuse block, have to mount it somehow and clean up the wiring

Finally wrapping up the wiring, made a base out of starboard for the new fuse block. Didn't drill into the car. Going to use some metal tabs underneath to lock it in place. I used a '67 harness and all the 12v components from a '67.
Got the lights hooked up. just gotta get the rear fenders on after I touch up the clear.

Just about buttoned up the wiring. Might add a positive distribution panel to the fuse block.
Took it outside for a drive in the driveway. Gotta touch up the driver door paint, and get the rear fenders on next.

Oh yeah! Got some more assembly done, was happy the fender welt was a dead match.
Next up will be mounting the rear bumper. I had an old original bumper that had this thick brace in the rear, so I painted it and using it for new bumper.

Thx man, I got the rest of the body panels on. Next up are the running boards. These aftermarket bumpers and brackets fit like ass. Gotta get longer chrome bolts and needs some tweaking.
Got the brake lights hooked up

Thanks, yours looks good. Have you thought about lowering it some? I like the lowered look but not slammed. _________________ 1963 Ragtop Bug |

Ordered all new window seals, felts, scrapers and new vent windows for the doors from WCM and WW. After a couple weeks got the passenger side door done.

Got the driver side door seals and glass in.
Buttoned up the running boards, had a little helper.
Took it for a lil ride today, only 1 mile, lol.
