I paid for the Subaru shifter parts...a year ago...and after many unanswered emails and phone calls, he’s about to personally learn what “nemesis” means. |

Class action lawsuit, anyone? Hate to do it for a measly $70, which probably doesn’t qualify, but nobody should be actively taking money from people for items you have no intention of delivering. _________________ Cheers!

Small claims. Coordinate a lawyer to haul a vendor into his/ her local court for non-performance could get old for them.

Sorry about your troubles
For the record, tell your kids the 2 RSFab shifters in my Vanagons are the favorite mod I've done and that I greatly appreciate the workmanship and assistance they provided. Ferdinand and Ferry Porsche dragged his children into the factory to work at young ages too:) You could say those kids turned out ok
All the best

This is really disappointing. He has a replacement shifter linkage that I've been wanting. _________________ Patrick Brown

Does anyone have the thread size and type for the shifter knob? _________________ 1.7D/5-spd 2WD Doka - 'Heinz'.(Deceased)....Frankensteined out so that others could live. |

The RSFab shifter I have was made either in 2018 or earlier. The included knob is a pool ball that was drilled out smooth which I'm guessing was for an thread insert. Right now, I'm just looking to make something if I can get the measurement specs for the shaft thread. _________________ 1.7D/5-spd 2WD Doka - 'Heinz'.(Deceased)....Frankensteined out so that others could live. |

Oh, for the Rsfab shifter, it`s 3/8 from the top of my head, maybe 5/16. Regular thread pitch. |
That drives me nuts when people use imperial sizing for a vehicle that is metric.
(BTW-US cars started conversion to metric with the Chevette, so even with USA cars, we are talking all new models from mid-late 70's on!) _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

Don't you have a thread pitch gauge? _________________ '89 Westy - EJ25/22 Frank 4.44 5mt

I despise imperial stuff too
watchout you have a few imperial hardware on your van too, seat belt bolts, and on the Westy, they forced 3/8 bolts into the M10 welded nut on the floor for one of the propane tank mounts . _________________ Silicone Steering Boots and 930 Cv boots for sale in the classifieds.

There fixed it for you.
On the RS Fab thing, I wonder why one of the vendors hasn’t bought the design from him. Surely someone could coordinate effective manufacturing or sourcing. |

Bummer it's still not going so great for this company. He made a great product and I am glad to have his shifter. It's a game changer. _________________ [email protected] 84 Westy 1.9 waterboxer > 2001 Legacy 2.5L sohc w/ subarugears 5MT Ty754 |
