VDO Tacho, temp and Oil Pressure Gauges circa 1967

Hi All

I'm searching all over from Australia for the correct 1967 VDO gauges for this formula vee (a 1967 Elfin, built in Australia)

I'll post pictures of the faces - shortly.

The tacho was probably approx 3.25"/82.5 mm - closest I've found so far is a 0-6000rpm 80 mm one Pt No. 830/21 2? 4.74 ( this part number relates to a 80 mm version)

Temp 0 to 260 Farenheit Pt. no. KR 3000. 5.67 01/36/18 (capilary type)

Oil Pressure 0 to 100 psi Pt No. 8.75. 20/4/1

-those part numbers are from a mate's car that has had a couple of the gauges replaced by ones that look correct without necessarily being from the sixties. Beggars can't be choosers, so I'd be happy with any that looked right, even if they were from the 70s or 80s.

These examples are not the correct dials, but they are the style of finish and font I need - white on a black base, though I will consider black lettering on a white base as a groovy alternative!!

I have a specialist gauge guy in Melbourne, Australia, but so far I haven't been able to source any gauges that fit the bill, so am quite prepared to take on inoperable ones as donors to rebuild if operating ones can't be found.

Any help in sourcing a set will be greatly appreciated!

Got this white faced pressure gauge in Victoria, which might be able to be put to good use.

Missed out on a perfect still in it’s box old stock black faced capillary temp gauge that was also in Melbourne - hopefully I’ll be able to track another one down....

Got a working temp and pressure gauge of the correct face types!

The face kind of reminds of the "universal" VDO gauges I have to the right in this picture. The tachometers with low rpm reading (example 25x100rpm) were probably used in diesel application and might not have the signal input from the coil. I have one more 80x100rpm tach installed in my beetle but plan to change it for the 60x100rpm in the picture.
