Does anyone know of an off the shelf solution for a flush head bolt that allows for a 4 to 5 wide adapter to be run with the aluminum brake disk covers.
Effectively I am looking for a M14 bolt that has a hex head and seats in the empi adapters and has the ball seating for the surface but does not push beyond the surface.
I need this but with the VW seating surface and in the right strength.
NOTE. I want to run both 4 and 5 lug wheels. The four lug wheels are on widened barrels and offset for my 550 spyder to allow a much larger tire setup on the front, and the 5 lug allows me to run a street setup with a 175 in the front. |

I'm not building some bastardized Porsche kit car but if you had the adaptors AND wheels to try on you'd see they don't have to use flush bolts?
I used longer Mercedes style lug bolts on my adaptors & Fuchs 2.0 liter wheels with no problem.
I have bought/ordered specialty bolts at Eugene Fastener out of their Dorman catalog. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

I am trying to use the aluminum brake covers on the street. Sorry should have started with that.
Right now everything fits just fine mechanically its just not pretty with the 356 wide 5's on the street when you see the adapters.
I have exhausted almost all of my normal suppliers. M14 is rare enough in something that is not a standard bolt head, add in the countersink and its just not out there that I can find. I could make them on a lathe but not in 10.9 or grade 8 which is what I want. |
