I'm asuming someone from the US wrote that list, so 40hp would mean 1200-34PS, and 50hp is what we call 1300/40PS in Europe, in that case the numbers are indeed there, but then I wonder why I don't see the 1500/1600 single port heads in there... |

I had a very difficult time finding ANY stock head flow numbers using modern flow standards.
If anyone has more flow data (even single point) Ill gladly include it in the list above. Casting numbers and valve sizes appreciated.
I still need:
40hp round or square boss
1500 bus heads from 63-67
dual port 40hp heads (77mm) would be nice to list too.
The 50hp SP head numbers are from a 1600 head _________________ Grapes of Wrath $200 Engine Rebuild

Pretty sure I have stock square boss 1300sp head flow numbers in my notebook. I will try to remember to look tonight.
If I have them, I will PM you Altewagen.

These are flow numbers from a 1300 square boss head. 33x31 valves, measured at 28", with a clay radius on the intake flange, and a cylinder in place.
Intake flow in CFM and lift in inches
.10 38
.15 53.4
.2 64.4
.25 72
.30 73
.35 73
.40 74.5
.45 75.2
Exhaust
.1 33
.15 51
.2 64
.25 73
.3 78
.35 80
.4 82
Yes, the exhaust does outflow the intake on this head on my bench. These were untouched stock castings.
Since I had the notebook open, these are the numbers after I did some portwork, blended the bowls, good valve job, and a back cut on the intakes.
Intake. Tested same as above.
.1 39.5
.15 55.9
.2 66.1
.25 76.6
.3 83.6
.35 89.6
.40 94.2
.45 96.6
Don't touch the exhaust port. It is still too efficient even with the porting done on the intake. A good valve job will make the exhaust flow even more than stock.

No. That quick write up was a standard 35x32 1500/1600 single port head. I like those much better. The 40hp stuff is harder to work with.
