Car is out getting the exhaust fixed. Also adding a 3rd option for a muffler. I have the bullet, the 3” weed burner and now a 2.5” stainless muffler they will exit the back. Should sound much deeper and not so illegal. Pictures to follow.

Picked up car today, 93 out and that's not the funnest temp to be driving.

Came out awesome, 4 EGT bungs are welded in.( I will be calling you Jim Martin once I get it back from coating) New muffler is super quiet. sounds like a 2332cc or something like that, all carbs now!!! Makes you want to go faster on the freeway since it is so quiet, I hear the diff now and the engine is super quiet, It might hurt the top end but the low end is amazing,, I can hear the tires trying to grip.

Pep boys cruise night in chino on pipeline Saturday night,(https://www.instagram.com/gzzilla69/ ) and then Quarantine cruise 8 in Huntington Beach Sunday.

Once the weekend is over I will be sending the exhaust to Jet Hot and attending to some leaking pushrod tubes.

Jet hot may be local, but your pipes would look badass with Cradin Industries coating and tattooing. May not be your style but you should check them out since you can see your pipes

Cradin has coated several pipes for me and I had my Harley pipes “tattooed” with flames. They are good guys and specialize in HP coatings. They coated my cam, rod, and main bearings as well.

It is near San Antonio, Texas

Header does look great as-is. What are tube sizes and collector choke?

2 1/4 collector at the flange, Step header 1 5/8 to 1 7/8 to 2". The old bullet muffler was 3" and will still go on the car for certain occasions, just not long drives with the wife...

I like the look also, if the 911 fan wasn't pulling hot header air in I would leave it.

if you can twist the muffler some for more tire clearance and add a short angle to put the outlet back where it needs to be I would do it... remember soft side wall tires do tend to "waller" in the rims.or rather the car moves back and forth but the tires remain planted...especialy in street driving...been there done that.tomany rubbs.

I did twist the muffler, the back mount for it let me get it more than inch from the tire, it did have a rub mark on it, thanks mark, good eye.

Driving to the quarantine cruise in huntington beach today, last month had over 2500 cars. https://www.instagram.com/qruisinpch/?hl=en

Should be fun, Car is running perfect right now. I say that now...

went out to https://www.instagram.com/qruisinpch/?hl=en saw thousands of cars, and that's not an exaggeration. hung out with Aaron, I met him at Shawns house a couple months ago. He has a peach oval with a 2387cc 230 ish to the flywheel. good times. Car ran great. freeway the entire way there and streets all the way home.

Took the exhaust off for the black ceramic to be put on(all 3 mufflers will be coated also). The gaskets that A1 put on for me to drive it home which were 5$ each were 1 1/2 gaskets, a little small for my engine. I don't run gaskets but tiger said he preferred to put them in.

Holes are drilled for the 4 egt sensors. I tapped the bungs again. I will do that once t comes back from engineered applications.. They said one week. I will pull the push rods out so I can seal the tubes better.

Had a blast. Wish I had the loud exhaust on it. The quiet one is boring.

Pulled the rockers to fix the leaking Pauter pushrod’s and installing new 7/16 Manton series 5 pushrods.

Lots of buildup on those gaskets lol. How big is the exhaust port on the head?

be sure to oil the orings in the pr tubes when ever you asemble them.I like to add some oil inbetween the orings so they never run dry. a dry oring dies fast and will leek. dont use greese it will hold dirt and seal out oil and kill seals...
galdd you had fun!!! there is a scheduled vw car show & sway about 80 miles away next month I was going to try to go to...that last huricane may of stoped me Im not sure yet.. they just built a new 3 mile bridge across the bay between hear and there, it has been open about a year and they just tore down the old bridge to put up another one so we could have 4 lanes east&4 lanes west( with 1 land inbetween for emergency each way. well that company building the bridge did not secure the barges,,,or cranes...I think they have 17 barges& probably 12 cranes..... and now we have no bridge due to the morons not securing the barges...one of the barges went another few miles up and took a wack at another bridge heading north...you cant fix stupid. about 2 1/2 hour added to the commute that was 15 min for the people that work on the other side but live on this side,,, lotsa law suits. so I dont know if Im going or not.I missed the last 2 0r 3 shows.... oh well life go's on. I need a fire under my ass to get back on my stuff. or sell it all and buy a hellcat& a smile.
