I wanted to post here some pictures of an excellent camper conversion done by Uro-Camper from Spain - the owner uses a wheelchair, requiring some special equipment to be installed in the van (see the different winches and ramp)

Uro-Camper is a specialized overland camper conversion company from Spain that performs some amazing conversions (https://www.uro-camper.com) - I have no affiliation with them, I've just been following them for a while dreaming of what could I do to my Syncro interior if I were to win the lottery (would need to play first though in order to win Smile

They don't seem to have pictures of this Syncro in their website, I got them a while ago from their Facebook feed when they posted an update. I don't know anything more about this van, please contact Uro-Camper for any questions (I think I can safely say though that a conversion like this won't be cheap).

I wish I knew what type of rear seat they used that has integrated shoulder belts, that's been nagging me for a long time on my Syncro (I'm currently using the GW versions of the 3-point belt that requires a slot to be cut on the side cabinet).

Wow! Lots to like with this conversion - many neat innovations that could transfer to other Westy platforms. Fantastic workmanship as well.

There was just a thread here brainstorming ways to get a 400lb wheelchair into a van. A winch like this was suggested.

Great looking van!

Sorry for retrieving an old thread.
This is the second Syncro built by Uro Camper.
I own the first one since March 2019. It was built in 2015-2016, and is excellent.
They published a thread : https://www.furgovw.org/foro/index.php?topic=315600.0 , just apply a translation app to the thread.
The engineering and quality is superb.

All of this looks awesome.

I'm looking to do something like the dash and have an Ipad mini +cellular to run Gaia+google maps, also maybe have some books/movies downloaded onto it.

Hello Oren,

Your Syncro looks great! Uro Camper are truly masters, the level of detail and thought that they apply to their conversions is first class.

Do you have any pictures of the finished interior?

Welcome to the Samba!
Thanks for the link, some interesting ideas. I would be curious about total vehicle weight, that's a lot of wood!

This is a crazy attention to detail build. Really nice.. How come the bed leans down? Is it for easy access?

Owner uses a wheel chair. So I think he slips onto the bed and the bed lifts up with him on it? Am i thinking this out properly?
