That is a really cool Bus! Makes we want to have a syrupy sweet umbrella drink while listening to the "Don Ho Christmas Special". In these dark times it would cheer anyone up! CBD lotion for the arthritis, keeps you in the game. _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |

Well, I have very mixed feelings about it, the Tacky Tiki Bus has been sold...I had hoped a VW knowledgeable person would buy it, but that didn't happen.
It also became obvious that most people did not have a clue how much work went into what we did, nor did they care...they wanted a VW bus at x price, wanted it to be able to go cross country immediately...no work required.
Unfortunately, for various reasons, I stopped using the bus, and it became a project only for the most part. I loved driving it, but became to dislike taking it anywhere.
Hopefully it ends up with someone who drives it, enjoys it, and takes care of it.
If anyone is interested, I may go back and review the success/failure of the TTB projects...
I will still be around on the Samba, feel free if you need some tacky ideas for projects.
Thanks for all the positive feedback.

Globespoter,
Thanks for that way of looking at the situation, it actually made me feel a lot better about selling it...lots of good memories early on using the bus for selling at craft shows and vw shows, and a lot of fun turning it into TTB 1 and TTB 2...if you do "tikify" let me know!

Well, it was sort of a combination of things, but in the end, I just didn't use it, especially the last few years. I'll try to go back and look at the projects and update whether they worked out.
Thanks |

Driving Bus's in this insane 90mph,texting, drugged drivers is not fun. I've had my Bus since 85 , drive it less and less. _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |

That is certainly part of the reason I drove it so little... |
