High beams won't stay on

Getting the "Y" shaped piece in the right configuration is not all that difficult. i think it took me a couple of toys, but if you are having repeated difficulty, make sure the "Y" is correctly positioned with the right side in or facing you. Can't remember, but think there is only one way to have it fit. Then the yoke has to be engaged correctly too. Look at the pictures on page one of this post and print them so you have them to refer to as you assemble everything. It could be a mysterious tab somewhere has broken or worn so you need a new switch.

Fifth times a charm? I’d guess the first four or so times I was trying to reassemble the little Y piece was just falling out of place. Now it works like new, just in time for my weekend getaway.
