Probably in the later ‘70’s my dad roamed a bone yard for 412 parts. He bought a few things BUT the jewel is this Eberspacher heater. I don’t think many people have a spare one sitting around. Just now going through my spare parts and cleaning them up. This is fun and good memories too!

That's what it is!! I have several boxes of spares that came with my 71 411 and found a heater like that. Not as pristine as yours, but I think it would be usable. Thanks for posting that,

It is not very visible, but I took this picture when I did the inventory and now the box is at the end of a pile.
