I'm working on a few more pieces for the passenger side walkthru toolbox area:
There is still a ways to go on this area, but at least we are moving forward! |

Continuing on with the passenger side tool box, I cut the top off where it was rusted. There is a little more rust on the vertical inner panel that will need repair:
I made more progress on the replacement piece. It needs a little more tweaking, but it's close:

Somehow it fit right in. I still have to do a little more to the inside edge, but it’s close.
Thanks German Kreiling! |

Just fixed this little spot, then cleaned out the inside of the box. I will treat the metal before closing this back up:

A little more progress:
I still have a few more pieces to make for the seat section, but it's getting close! |

More progress:
I still have to put the top on the passenger side tool box. I master coated the inside of it, so it should be ready. There are only a few bad spots on the drivers side, so hopefully that side will go a little quicker. |

I capped off the passenger side tool box this morning:
I was thinking that I was done with this side, then realized that I needed to replace the seat frame tube that was rusty. Donor from our 15Window:
As I am typing this, I again realized that there is still one more piece after this one. I need to replace the piece on the inside that holds the rubber mat to the side. I have a spare piece for the drivers side, but it is bent the wrong way. I suppose I could chop it up and re-appropriate it. We will see... |

The down tube is welded in:
I ended up taking the molding strip from the drivers side and converting it to a passenger side strip:
Now I am done with the passenger side tool box. I counted 9 pieces that were added/replaced in this repair. It seems like I have been working on that spot for a while. The drivers side is no where near as bad, and hopefully will go quickly:

I got the repair piece made and prepped for the drivers side tool box:
While I was at it, I started fitting the KF front chassis crossmember. It was not wide enough, and the bend was too sharp. The width issue wasn’t from the center. One side was shorter, so I cut the end off and made an extension. I also flattened out the bend a little. It should be good once I weld the end back on:

I finished widening the front chassis crossmember:
These have been sitting on my workbench since I cut them out. I decided to prep them this morning:

Some progress was made this weekend. Finished the seat repairs:
Attached the forward tophat to the bulkhead and frame:
I put the shift tube into the middle tophat, and found that the holes were not in the right spot:
Fixed it:
Suqared it up:
Fit and welded in the crossmembers:
Pretty productive weekend:
