I am rebuilding a Bocar 34PICT3 for a friend to use on his 71Bus. This is the second Bocar 34PICT3 I've rebuilt.

As I compared the stock jet sizes for a 71bus to what's on the carb, I noticed that the Pilot Air bleed drilling is about 125 while the stock size for all VWs using 34PICT3s from 71-74 is 147.5.

If none of the VWs use 125, why does Bocar build one with that drilling? Perhaps for use in a 1300 in Eur/RoW?

What's the downside of leaving it at 125 vs. enlarging it? And, if I enlarge it to 150 (I only have a 1.5mm drill), will that be a problem?

Not true. For instance, the 1975 specs for a type 2 with 1600 engine with 34 PICT-3 carb have a 120 pilot air jet.
Not a US-distributed model, of course. Carb specs varied widely depending on intended market for the vehicle.

Yes, I was (incorrectly) thinking of US cars when I wrote that. Do you have the full specs for that 1975 T2 carb? Would you mind posting it? I would like to refer to it before I modify this Bocar.

I'll call that image and raise you a few.

Whenever I've come across stuff like this over the last couple of decades, I've logged it on my charts. You can that chart here, sorted by the Modification State Number:

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox.
