At this point, it seems like no one sells repops which is fine but im curious to know if this was a one year only transition sort of thing? thanks |
Glad to help! Have you checked out the "The Obsolete Air-Cooled Documentation Project" here:
http://www.oacdp.org/
There are several parts manuals and others that are a must to look thru now and then. There is even a Beetle parts manual that for now is accessible thru the "Upcoming" button at the top of that web page. Also the "Progressive Refinements" books are a huge help being a almost day by day model changes on the factory floor. Like this page:
If you can not read that, left click on it, and when it comes up in it own screen left click again to blow it up even more. |
Im not sure how but ive never visited that site before. IT LOOKS AWESOME! Thank you.
Also, i just checked again, i was indeed wrong on when my car was made. It was made in early October of '64. The VINS on my body and chassis both match but my chassis has words stamped on the side that say November of '64. So, somewhere around then. thanks again! _________________ -'85 c10 5.3 LS, 222 cam, long tubes, x pipe, 3 inch spin tech's

No problem! Enjoy! You should consider starting a thread on your 65 beetle journey. Always great to see how it goes, and all of us VW nutters are happy to chime in with questions and heads up if something does not look quite right. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |
