In the vintage bus pic topic was one on its side in a junkyard. the pan seemed to be a little darker than the chassis but not black IIRC.

your truck could be an Australian CKD kit assembled in Australia. so the colors could be different anyways.

I was just wondering about this again as I was sorting out the pedal pan for the '52 deluxe I'm working on. You can see an area of clean grey paint that was under some grease toward the bottom left. I can't be sure this is the original pan to the bus, but it's been with it for a long time. I'm leaning towards using grey on the '52.
