small update today,
took the time during the weekend to cleanup the door pilar section and apply some rust converter.
Happy there is just surface rust. while getting everything open, I also made sure that the door hinges bolt could unscrew. there is just one out of 8 I am going to insist a bit.

I took plenty picture of the area as it is something that will be hidden after welding the patch back in place.

I just decided to remove the antenna hole as the antenna I had in place will be replaced by something different.

Here are the steps to plug the hole and make it invisible:

That looks great! I like those magnets. They remind of Pawns ♟ on a Chess board.

Keep on going, looking great! Really enjoy reading about your progress!

I did some garage clean up a month ago which I was able to keep clean just for few days Smile , but wanted to share a bit of my evening and weekend working environment. I built the garage and the work space area from the ground. as it is full isolated I can play easily during cold Canadian winters

I consider this panel done after several hours of planishing.
Let's now weld the patch back in place.

Another step done this evening with the 3 layers of epoxy primer into the pilar / quarter panel section:
I spent more time to prep the area and cleanup the spray gun than applying the 3 coats of epoxy.

I finally started to tack weld the patch.
I am really taking my time on this one as I do not want to mess anything.

will continue with the weld on outer face during coming evenings.
