Body dimension question

I've found several factory beetle body dimension diagrams in the Gallery, but none of them provide the distance between the bottom of the B pillars, as measured from the outside of quarter panel.

Could someone please help out by taking a measurement between the B pillars so I can ensure that I'm setting things up properly before I do my final weld in place of the heater channel? My split was not only very rusted out, and hit in 3 places, so I've been twisting/bending the body back into shape, and that is the only measurement I'm missing.

It's a bit difficult to measure. The body hasn't ever unbolted after it's was made in 1952.

I put pieces of sheet metal against the outer sides from appox 50 mm from rear of the door opening. The distance looks to be there 1330 mm.

To get more accurate result, should make a distance bar for the purpose.

When your chassis is in good shape ( or restored with new floors or original ) You can bolt the heater chanels on the chassis with ALL the bolts. Then you can drop your body on it and align it on that.
With aftermarket floorpans and or heater chanels, you never know if there is a different in distance somewhere on the path. That is how I do it. And before welding.. check doorgaps. Just my idea.
