1976 911 SC weird noise

Relatively new to the Porsche world, have a few older VWs but cant seem to figure out this problem and have looked everywhere. Little back story the car is a 1976 porsche 911 SC but from what I can tell, has a 79 3.0L engine in it. Cars runs and drives fine but sometimes when the car is somewhat cold or just randomly when in 3rd and 4th gear at either a certain RPM or speed I'll get a strange, loud whistle sound. Its almost like an alarm, or siren sound and it sounds like its coming from under the dash? The first time I heard it I thought I was being pulled over by the police thats the kind of siren sound it makes. Could it be an oil pressure sensor or tach limiter or something? I dont think it has any affect on the car, its just annoying.

Speedometer/cable? I’ve had a few vehicles where the speedo makes noise in the cold.
