no recent pictures but working on electrical right now.replacing most of the terminals and looming a lot of stuff.hopefully in 2 months it will be going away for bodywork and get tin built for type4

had the crank pulley modified for type4 fan hub.hoping to get some tins soon and going to order a piece of aluminum stock and cut a type1 generator stand down to make it work on the type4.also going to get ghia spindles and put car back to original ride height.

oh and the chrome will be removed from fan housing

type4 will be on hold as i got a 1600 im going to use while i build the type4.got these 8 spokes for free and i like them so i will paint the spokes gold and rock em.slowly trying to get car to original paint and also going to pull body soon and repaint chassis.plans for motor is to paint tin the body color as im going for a somewhat 90s looker

Sitting on a spare chassis while the original one is getting restored.going to end up going with black spokes,polished lips and knock off caps.staying type1 power plant.been working on wiring (all new grounds,new headlight harness that will be relayed).hopefully later this year body will go in for work

Oh and going pre 68 dash look.well I’m using type3 short knobs,keeping upper vents (will get euro vents),fresh air system and welding a post 68 rear to pre 68 glovebox door so it has correct curves and will get dash grill without fuel gauge hole

Still have not really done anything to the car but decided I’m going to paint the lower half toga white for two tone look (leaving rest og paint),66 body trim,66 inner door trim,67 and down tail light and euro blade bumpers with German brackets.car will be lowered only on spindles and restoring the riviera wheels

Well I decided I’m going to use hoods fenders and aprons from a 66 and down beetle fill gas door in as well.still waiting for my chassis to get painted so I can start assembling it then put body back on.also going ragtop and riviera wheels
