Below the engine door and the flat metal piece had a flat thick metal that has another metal wrapped over the edge. Hard to put it into words, but where that piece meets the rear corners on either side is this piece. Mine is as rotted out pretty bad so hard to understand how this fits in there but I think I need it or something to beef up that weird bend of metal that sticks out towards the bumper. Hopefully I can add some pics that will help understand what I am talking about.

Here are a couple of photo's from when I pulled mine apart...

You didn't really ask a question - but maybe these will help.

Im right in the middle of this same project right now. If your not gonna rebuild the box structure behind that corner, then the last thing I would care about is that little doubler tab. But that being said, I just folded up some metal to wrap around the rear valance panel edge tabs.

Creates a nice smooth rounded edge sticking out.

$200 for the HF bender. Short money to make alot of small doublers, boxes, or any other hidden repair piece.
