Hi guys, I have a 68 notchback quite slammed and the front beam brackets rub quite a bit.

Is there any mod that solves this problem by relocating the lower bolt and making the bracket flat on the bottom?

Thanks

Here is how I did mine.

Started with a new set of brackets that were already shaved, cut the bottoms off, attached 1/8" thick steel using a spot welder. Cut the tabs off the frame head, using the stock bolts to secure these pieces tot he original mounts if I ever want to return to stock, or if the next owner ever wants to.

Then I made a bung for the new lower mount, before drilling I marked the location on the frame head and then adjusted the hole somewhat to give more tension. The bung was then welded into place. The bolt was a little tricky to get started, but it helped that I had countersunk the bung opening.
