at the time the max speed for towing a trailer was 80km/h or 50 miles. i think they probably got close to that on the flat. wind was definitely not their friend. _________________ regards

interesting details on the bus. First I thought it has coachbuilt skylights but I guess its only a lot of feet on the HD roof rack. Also interesting. the bus has DLX beltline trim but only 11 windows, so not a factory DLX. They are different buses.
The shiny yellow and black bus I believe was turned into a Westy in the late 60ies possibly for the 125th anniversary of Westfalia and to go into their museum. It might have been inspired from those photos. |
