Anyone with art or Photoshop skills want to take a crack at a Ghia based on the Type 4 platform and styling? We have Type 1 & 3 models, but no Type 4.
One guess is something like the Brazilian SP models based on the Type 3, since they have the "Leiding Nose" of the Type 4 cars. But anyone got other or more developed ideas? |

Yep you are right...it would probably have looked like this...yes the nose resemblance. 
Though it is a type 1 platform. It used a type 3 1.6L engine...which was later hollowed out to 1.7L. It could have been killer if it was type 4 based. Though the designer was Italian.

...and this one WAS designed and built by Karmann.
And then there is this...which I am just putting here to tweak the notch back weenies....
It looks "Russian"......

No answer to the question but VW took another route for the sport version of the 411 - the 914/4.
It was made by Karmann, not based on the 411 platform other than engine, front brakes and some interior details.
But yes, a Ghia version of the 411 had been cool to have - lets see your sketches!
Edit:
Also, the 411 unibody makes it harder to make alternative bodies.
