This is for sale on eBay. I have never seen one of these. It is listed as a ‘77, and the seller claims there were only 500 of them made. This one is in Mexico, and it can be yours for $60,000. There’s about 20 pictures in the listing. Anyone know if this is indeed factory? I think it’s pretty awesome.

The Thing Shop and I believe Recycle Auto Parts used to sell that fiberglass top to make it a pickup.

Definitely not factory and in my opinion not worth any where near $60k...

The white one is factory made in Mexico. They were made for the one of the utility companies in Mexico. Very rare and very collectible.

My first instinct was to be disgusted by that. But it’s actually bad-ass the more I look at it.

Cool concept.
It should be quieter and warmer than our conventional (ha that's funny) Type 181's.
However I do no see any heater ducts in glove box or along the tunnel.
Still neat.
$60,000 neat?
That's an original WWII Type 82 Kubelwagen range.

I'd say the Pick-up is rarer. Seen plenty of Acapulcos but less than a half a dozen pick-ups.

Never seen either in person but I would think the pickup also. Especially if you count all the fake Acapulcos.
