A year ago I made my first post on TheSamba with my plans for a ventilation system on my westy that does not require cutting. The main difficulty of this project was the complication of getting power on moving parts such as the pop top or the sliding door.

That being said, I've designed the optimal airflow system in my van until I am ready to make some more serious modifications (ie. adding a maxxfan to the skylight).

This fan was an extra, I decided to put it here in attempt to circulate air in the cabinets to help reduce moisture, and also the water tank is in there somewhere so maybe it will help it not freeze...(?)

These fans are variable speed and do the most work. They are highly efficient computer fans that I've placed near the stove to help exhaust cooking odors and pull air in from the skylight vent + any other additional opening of the van.

I'll have these on in tandem with the Propex when I'm trying to get rid of moisture. Hot air carries moisture, gets exhausted and replaced by cold dry air from outside.

I had so many of these fans lol. It seemed like a good idea to add some extra airflow behind the fridge. It can get pretty hot back there when the compressor is working hard

The least effective airflow point is from the heater box, through the door, up and around the B pillar, and finally, faintly, out of this ceiling vent. As you can see in my previous post, I positioned 2 stacks of mini computer fans inside the passenger door.

It might seem pretty insignificant, but the combination of these fans over hours and hours really does move a decent amount of air, and I notice it when I'm hanging out in there.
