so i like the idea of a Das Tank bikini top for my Thing. Do you think instead of drilling into my completely solid windshield frame i could use a long strip of earth magnets sewn into the front material to keep it attached to the windshield frame? http://dastank.com/VW-Thing-Roll-Bar-Bikini-Top

You might have to remove the upper fastener attachment pegs. It should work with the magnetic strip.

The pegs stay on the frame. the top just slides over the pegs. Have them on both my 73 and 74. Love them painted them the same color as the cars and don't even see them when regular top is up. Does not weaken the frame at all.

Does anyone have a contact email or phone number for Dastank? Combed their website and cant find it. When Contact Us is clicked it opens Gmail without the address.

Has anyone found an alternate attachment method for the bikini top that works, so hole drilling isn't necessary?
Thanks
