An information, can the Westfalia bed bench full width of the baywindow be mounted on the splitscreen?
Are changes to the wooden structure of the sidewalls necessary as the wheel arch overhang is different?
Does the backrest, once extended, interfere with the protuberance of the petrol pipe on the left?
Do the metal hinges fit the frame?
If you can post some pictures of the result on the splitscreen thank you

BTDT! There isn’t much difference. Hardly any modification will be required. We scored a “full width” bench/bed from a late Phatchick and installed it in a ‘59 panel. If you already have it, go ahead and throw it in there, you’ll see how to do it quickly. Cool

Bay window buses are a tiny bit narrower inside than a split bus. So the box for a full width bed will fit.

If your bus is a passenger model with a heater log in the back, then you have to cut two slots in the wood on the base to fit it in.

The cushion that goes over the engine compartment is a different shape, so you will need to modify it, or make a custom unit.

Thanks, mine is a kombi without rear heating vent, my concern was mainly related to the shape of the wooden sides ... does the wheel arch overhang have the same shape? thanks
