I think it is late by the pop up air deflector? the 68 I had did not have that.
gonna say 73 on up. the orange color was common 73-74 . wish my 68 had the air deflector . it would get weird air turbulence especially with the windows up.
and the roof opened up all the way. it sucked.

It looks just like the one in my 1974 Super Beetle.
Save and sell the parts that you’re not using.

Thanks guys, that was my guess, post 72. I will be carefully sectioning it out as an entire assembly to graft into another car. I figure if I leave all the inner structure intact, it will practically fall in place. I thought the deflector was pretty neat too. _________________ Check out my truck brought back from the dead... http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=420762&highlight=sprayed+blood

To my knowledge, the only air cooled VWs to have a wind deflector was the '74 Sun Bug and '75 La Grande (I believe). |

Yes indeed and only Super Beetle SB/LG models as well. I once knew a guy who had a standard Beetle Sun Bug and it did not have the wind deflector. |
