I wonder when exactly they started making 15" rims in prep for the change over? 1/55 is the earliest 15" rim I have seen. _________________ Oil Capital Air Cooled

I also have a set of 5 15” 1/55 rims in og paint. Snap them up quick since they are still in barndoor production months.

I have two 1/55 rims that came from a first week of April 55 singlecab made into a dune buggy and three silver white 4/54 rims from my first week of March 55 kombi.
Posted a couple of 4/54 pics in the 15” wheel thread a while back.

Hi,
I was wondering if somebody knows (and better: have pictures!) that a post-barndoor/wolfsburg 23 samba bus does or doesn't have the "speaker-pods" back in the bus blow the roof?
Regards!

I had a pair of handles like that at one time. They fit a bus, but were from a 1950's Borgward as I recall. _________________ nothing |

For what it's worth, I have a really old photo of my Dec '55 Deluxe that seems to show that "speaker pod". Here's the photo. Not the best, but it looks to be there.

Those VIN #s would be near the middle of January, 1956
Interesting that the 20- numbers were used past 12/1955.
By "delivery serviced" do you mean it was first sold and delivered 21 Feb 1956?
This seems like a long time for it to sit around after production. _________________ How to Post Photos

Yes, the delivery service was performed when it was delivered.
