I need to replace the rear shock towers on my 1960 T1. I have made a few small repair panels that were easy to weld in; how difficult will the WW tower panels be to aline and weld in? Are there any tips anyone has to doing these repairs?
Thanks for any information. _________________ 1960 Indiana Red T1 |

Rear shock towers? As on the rear cast steel torsion assembly? Those will out last any part of the car. Picture please _________________ '69 Beetle

Sorry, I didn't type what I was thinking. I need to replace the panels behind the shock towers. My picture is someplace between my phone and my computer. It should show up sometime tomorrow. Great internet out in the country. What I need is any tips on replacing the panels since this will be my first big replacement larger than 1x2 inches. _________________ 1960 Indiana Red T1 |

Look into (filling the gap) method of welding. If you overlap the metal, you can't work it afterwards. |
