had a bit of lateral thinking during isolation, and figured that if we couldn't get four people to lift the body off and put it on the trolley, we could lift the body and move the trolley under it. Engine hoist, slings, trestles and.... ta da!

just need to strap it securely

I lifted mine onto the dolly with a floor jack and the help from my 73 year old neighbor from across the street. I'm no spring chicken myself. Looks heavier then it really is.

I first tried using a come along with a 4x4 over the car to even out the weight, but the 4x4 broke.

been a bit slow recently, but I'm always pleased to see what a couple of cans of degreaser and some elbow grease can accomplish

Great project keep at it.

I never knew this about writing the color. Interesting.

I block and tackled the rear end up and then lifted the front onto blocks then onto the front frame, then lowered the rear onto the frame at the rear. Didn't have any helpers available, so had to do it on my Pat Malone.

Life got in the way of the resto recently, but I got a chance to do a bit this weekend. Rear floor pan quarter. Pretty happy with the fit after some 'adjustment'

I guess it's a bit of a milestone. The first new paint Smile

I'm not the greatest welder or painter, but it will be out of sight when it's complete. 3 new floor sections welded in, stripped to bare metal and painted.

Now to flip it over and strip the inside.

Looks good!
If you are not a great welder, or painter, you will end up a pro with a grinding wheel and 60 grit

chassis now painted and back together with new cables. Pedals stripped, cleaned, painted and reassembled. Likewise shifter and park brake

rear going back slowly

front is getting there. New kingpin and link pins. bushes reamed and reassembled. Steering parts cleaned, painted and reassembled. anti-roll bar with new bushes. Today was brake assembly. No pics yet.

also stripped and cleaned the outside of the transaxle. Nothing in the internals yet as the car was a non runner and I have no idea if this is good or bad. I'll put it back together and drive it before I dive into a transaxle rebuild. It will get seals and a new throwout bearing anyway

It looks awesome!! Amazing how scraping away decades of built up crud and re-glossing everything, makes the car look brand new again after all the years. Great job, look forward to watching your progress.

Nicely done. You have more skill than you think. I'm about one year behind you on a '65. Curious, what black paint brand are you using? It looks good.
