I put in a mid mount last year and the same thing happened. All of a sudden the sounds of tranny gears to add to my fuel pump noise..
Modock said to loosen the bolts that attach the mid mount. Did not do it yet but am sure now after hearing your sorry that is it.
Funny, with out any sound deadening insulation or rugs or headliner, I like the noise, separates me from Toyota, ha, may still loosen the bolts.
When friends get it, fell the power of the T-4 and the exhaust sound, it all adds to their new driving experiance. _________________ email: [email protected]

I'm just glad I'm not throwing more money at it. |

I just changed from a sprung center clutch to a solid , the gear chatter at cruise was annoying , I then changed from polyurethane mounts to rubber (custom mounts) . The car is chalk and cheese , very little gearbox noise at all , even the exhaust is quieter inside the car ,fixed most of the resonance . So I can imagine all the noises from a solid mounted trans .
Lucky with my mounts I can change them without dropping the engine |

Cool. I gotta pull the motor on mine to get the solid bell housing mount off. Shouldn't take too long. I'll save that for winter. |
