Took the Pups on a Road trip this past weekend, made a great bed in the back seat of the Doka.

I guess I won't have to worry about her hanging out under the van.

I've been grieving the loss of my old dog Loki (see earlier in this thread or see this link: https://vanlifegeek.com/gallery-8.htm) for quite a while now, and finally decided it was time for a new dog. This one is much better sized for a van and I can't tell you how happy I am to have a dog again. I've always said a dog is the best Westfalia accessory there is. We're going to share some great adventures together traveling around in the Syncro. At 62, I'm on my third Westfalia and my fourth dog. Maybe this one will outlive me.

Nice! Cattle Dogs are awesome - super smart and easy to train

This is Treiva and I believe she technically owns her own ‘86 Syncro. Best of luck trying to leave without her in the van. Not gonna happen. Little stinker does not appreciate the screen window by her seat so she removed it. Also refuses to get out of the van until she is taken for a ride.

Sweet-looking pup, VanLifeGeek. IMHO, Cattle dogs are the bomb!
Mine's a Red Heeler, Aussie Shepherd mix. Aleijae. She's the best.

The back seat always looks better with a dog on it! I think she may be mixed with something else since she's so small, but I have no idea what. She was super shy when I got her yesterday, but she's already coming out of her shell. Who knows what kind of life she had prior to yesterday, but her future is going to be great. Her name was Bunny, but since she didn't know her name anyway, I renamed her Willow, which is the 8th most popular name for baby girls in Australia right now. Seems fitting and better than Bunny, IMHO. Thanks for sharing!

They are super smart. They pick up information quickly. Just be very consistent in your commands and what you're expecting of her, and she will always want to be the best she can be for you. And rescue dogs are always appreciative of their new persons. You guys will love each other. She is a great size for vanlife.

Tommye the newf during a recent road trip. She is not looking at the camera- she's eyeing that breakfast burrito on top of the stove, weighing the odds....

A bit spotty.

He likes to look at himself and see what's behind him.
