I’ve read that the very last Beetle sedan produced in Germany was a 6v 1200. So 6v was available (as std or option) till the end. _________________ 1971 1302LS Convertible (RHD) owned since '74

As Madell says - According to Etzold - "The Beetle", kind of a bible in these matters, 6 V lasted til aug 1, 1975, ie. at the transition to the 1976 model year. Most 1200 cars had the upgrade to 12V as a default order, but it was an option. 1300 and 1600 cc cars came standard with 12V since aug. 1968. I am pretty sure that Harald A Möller, the VW agent of cold Norway never ordered any 1975 models with 6V. A similar case with the semaphores, which were deleted in Norway in august 57, and replaced with peanut blinkers. Semaphores carried on for 3 or 4 years, in warmer countries where they did not freeze up in winter time. _________________ 1973 1303S w sunroof Click to view image
