I am not sure that I have posted in this thread.
I find your metal shaping skills to quite superior. I have been watching this thread for a while and I'm very impressed the the metal work that you have done on the car.
The videos are entertaining as well.
The final product will look fantastic.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and techniques with us. _________________ I have learned over the years.

Thanks so much for the comment.
When I look back at the result I am quite happy of it considering that it is my 1st restoration, and I have never touched metal nor welding prior this project.
However, I really wanted to learn the best as I could and do the job myself by saving as much as the original metal as possible.
that is why it took me so much time to repair each single part rather than going to replacement parts and trying to fit them back in place.
Just look at the amount of work I needed to do to adapt the front quarter panel which are the only reproduction part I have needed for this repair.
I will keep posting the progress till the end, which I hope will be very soon, but I still do not exactly know when.

You have done a great job & a great use of this crazy year! _________________ I want a real garage.

REALLY NICE!!! Loving the fresh steel look! Now, get some primer on that before any moisture hits it. Making me nervous!
Seriously, super nice! _________________ Jimbo

Stunning work! I want one of those spot welders but after reading the max gauge is 20 I'm wondering how the welds would hold up on thicker 18 gauge. I assume you done some testing with the welder, how did you find the strength of the welds? |
