Speedo in in KM, car purchased in Germany and brought over?

63 vert with speedo in kilometers. What is the significance if any? Or could you buy replacements in KM? Just wondering. Thanks

The majority of countries use kilometers instead of miles, including the place just north of where you are. It isn't much of a stretch to think it may have been a Canadian spec car. Your car could have originally been in a metric country and since been imported to the US, or just as likely somebody swapped out the speedometer with a KPH version to make it different than all the US spec cars running around here.
