I am tired of having a floppy handle. I try and tighten it, and it sits level for a bit, but then it droops again.
Anyone know of something to plug this hole with? A blank of some sort, or a keyhole that will also trigger the door latch?
I can still open it from inside, and that would be the intent. _________________ 1990 Feldjäger Syncro AAZ

Slider? Front doors? If slider, sounds like either the internal threads are gone or there is slop in the square shaft allowing the handle to turn slightly every time it's used. Try new screws and Loctite and see what happens. |

My 82 has the original handle. I drilled a hole in the door panel so I can access the screw to tighten it occasionally. I don’t believe it’s the screw actually loosening, but wear.
Can’t imagine not having the outside handle. _________________ ☮️ |

But it's nothing to open the passenger door and reach around.
At least, that's what I intend... _________________ 1990 Feldjäger Syncro AAZ
