|
|
Morning all-
I am restoring my 1966 15-window. It does not have a parcel tray. I have seen a few here on the Samba in classifieds.
Before buying one, I am confused on what I have seen called: fat lip, thin lip, and thin lip H.
Do they all fit? Were their different styles? Any advice much appreciated.
Thank you
-Mark |

First we need to clear up if your bus is a 66 or a 15 window. _________________ Oil Capital Air Cooled

If you are talking about the red and white bus in your gallery it looks like maybe a 66 13 window. If that's the case you need a fat lip parcel tray. _________________ Oil Capital Air Cooled

I am still learning buses and realized that the 15 window has two rear corner windows. |

No, it needs to dip down in the middle... like the second pic:
61-65: (flat across the top edge)
66-67: (top edge dips down in center)

Thank you so much for this knowledge.
Yikes, now I got to figure this out where to buy one.
I'll need to ask good questions from the sellers. |

Thanks Clara. The poster asked me to take a pic of under my dash which I will do tonight so he can verify whether or not he does have one that can fit. If not, I will post for sure.
The good news is that I have a metal power-coating guy I know that can bring one back to life |
