Was this the one you got? http://shop.vintagespeed.com.tw/s.nl/it.A/id.7/.f

I hope that you're not waiting for answers, this is an old thread & this individual hasn't logged in for almost two years.

Yep that's the one I'm looking at just a lot of $$$. How long did it take to get to your door after purchase assuming you bought off their site?

Surprisingly quick, I thought. Three weeks.

I know I'm resurrecting an old topic but oh well. I want an AA sidewinder because it is cheaper than A1 but it still has the ground clearence. I currently have an Empi phat boy (I think, it was given to me for free) and wanted to know how the sound would compare. I also found a Dynomax super turbo same side exit and was thinking about getting the sidewinder and taking a reciprocating saw to the muffler and welding on that one. Any thoughts? Would the dynomax be quieter?

Get the exhaust tip "out" past the rear bumper and it will be quieter.

And make the exit pipe smaller. If it’s 2.5 inch exit make it 2 inch. Tiger at A1 told me to try this years ago and it made a huge difference even after getting out behind the car. Much less boomy. If I recall correctly he said 2 inch was good to around 120hp.

Will the AA be good though? I really want the ground clearence. Then I could buy a stainless 45 and weld it on.

In my opinion so much better than the sidewinder. I have had both their system with tuned header and now currently with high flow heater boxes.

I would like to see pics of this exhaust installed.

Dang, vintage speed stuff looks so nice but it is not very cheap. Does anybody know if AA headers are compatible with A1 mufflers? I found that aircooled.net has the A1 pea shooters for $300 ish. And then I could just put that on the AA header and it would come out to being a lot cheaper.

Here is my new Gen 3 Sidewinder. Tiger’s stuff only works with Tiger’s stuff. This is Tiger’s test mule on the rack.

I have decided to ditch the sidewinder idea for the time being. I am getting a Tri Mil two tip because I have heard good things about them. Eventually I will get a bigger engine for my car and get a A1 peashooter, or maybe vintage speed.
