Sounds like a plan. I think they built the van around the booster and pedal cluster on the assembly line. PB blaster to free it up and there are some spray lubes that thicken after they land. They use it for car door hinges etc.
You won't hurt the pedal through its range. Easy with the master off the servo on your hand. _________________ ☮️ |

Lubing the pedal pin (as best as could) may have helped a bit but still not returning all the way. I’m going to bleed the brake to remove any air in the lines. What is responsible for returning the pedal to the starting position? Master cylinder or servo ? |

Master cylinder follows the pin in the brake booster. I’ll look at my documentation tomorrow. I recall a light weight spring that assists the pedal return. But I can’t say for sure. _________________ ☮️ |

Looking at page 46.10 there is a pedal return spring. Sorry for the delay posting. mark _________________ ☮️ |

I see that. Looks like it would be really difficult to replace |

I’d verify it’s in place and hooked. If so, it’s likely the booster has an internal problem. That’s assuming the master disconnected from the booster.
So, the van is built around the booster and pedal cluster. The easiest access is to remove the dash and pull the cluster with the booster. I’m old and there is just not enough room for me to lay on the floor and try and shove my arms up there to work. _________________ ☮️ |
