|

Hey folks,
just a silly question - perhaps - but is there a possibility to "upgrade" the front drum brake?
I don't want to have disks!!! ... but better brakes
Are there any conversion kits from "simplex" (single, double brake cylinder) to "duplex" (dual, single brake cylinder) brakes for bugs?
Type 3 uses duplex brakes at the front axle.
Regards

P.S.: I hope I found the correct english words for ist .... |

Not really. And why not just do disc brakes? _________________ If you`re going to do something, do it right. |

I really want a 100% original look!!
And no discussion with the authorities getting the special registration for "historic" cars, here in Germany.

You could consider converting to Porsche 356 brakes. They are much larger, but VERY expensive. _________________ '65 Sunroof Bug |

@rcroane
Yes I know.
Porsche Brankes will be the last possibility.
But at the moment I plan with about 65hp out of a single port 1,9l engine.
With the Porsche brakes I can go up to about 100hp.
I think I will have to talk with our TÜV engineer
Nevertheless many thanks so far
