Anybody running the M&H 26X6 slicks or 215/65 DOT drag tires on their Ghia? Will they fit? I'm running 914 Fuchs 2.0L wheels. _________________ 2017 Street Comp Champion - Thunder Valley Raceway Park - Noble, OK

I am looking at this set up at the moment.
The points of contact are the edge of the bump stop, the front spring plate bolt and the rear of the guard opening.
with careful trimming of the bump stop and bolt I can fit a 205/60 15 under the back of my 69 Ghia on a 7" rim. The sidewall width is about 8.1 inches, it is close but clears.
the M & H 215 is about 8.4 wide on the sidewall on a 6" rim, so I've had to stretch the rear section of the outer guard, and trim the inner guard to make it fit. You can see the guard work here:

I still don't have the tyre mounted so no pic yet.
Or narrow the torsion. Mike Lawless made new IRS trailing arms to help on his Ghia but I can't remember if he narrowed the torsion as well.
Also every Ghia is a bit different, often side to side as well.
Measure carefully and Good luck |

I am running a 205/65-15 on a 6" Empi Fuchs with zero modifications and no spacer. I am going to try the M&H next.
Pip did it with a genuine 6" Fuchs and a 5mm spacer (I think).
This 63 has a custom CMS 5 3/4" with a custom backspacing too with a 6" Firestone slick.
