Impact strip on 72 Super

Anyone know why there is an extra clip in the package of each impact strip from Jbugs? I got front and back impact strips and there was, (what appears to be an extra clip) an extra clip in each package. I chatted with Jbugs...they didn't have a clue! lol

Can you snap a pic of the bumper? I've got a '75 SB and found out yesterday the front fenders are from a '73 and I've got a '73 front bumper I'm refitting. Thanks.
