Plx is good I have one also. But no recording options at all. Just a gauge. When you can look at a graph and see exactly what the car is doing for the entire drive instead of trying to watch it and drive. _________________ 1961 Ragtop, Autocraft 2783cc for street/strip 10k miles and counting...230.84 HP to the wheels thru Muffler 13.4 to 1 on E85

my pulling issue was 100% bad valve springs, they can go bad fast if your floating the valves... Or if they are set up wrong _________________ 1961 Ragtop, Autocraft 2783cc for street/strip 10k miles and counting...230.84 HP to the wheels thru Muffler 13.4 to 1 on E85

exhaust/muffler, air filters, fuel return returing tomuch, what do the plugs look like on a clean cut run?low voltage to the coil, throttell opening, cam off a tooth or 2.....if it's valve float you should be able to hear that....well some can and some cant. dead/dying coil wire...sealed engine compartment making the carbs&fan compeate for air...tach on the rong setting |

Mark, I'm suspecting coil supply voltage and or tach wiring cuz my tack is erratic.was going to run direct wire from alt batt pos to coil positive first.if that doest work i will disconnect tach from coil.hopefully that's the problem |

Instead of pulling it will lay over and the engine pitch will change. _________________ 1961 Ragtop, Autocraft 2783cc for street/strip 10k miles and counting...230.84 HP to the wheels thru Muffler 13.4 to 1 on E85

Lower or level out kinda. Drive a stock bug and don’t shift. At 4K or a little above the valves will float. Sounds like that.
Or you stop feeling it pull using your butt Dyno. _________________ 1961 Ragtop, Autocraft 2783cc for street/strip 10k miles and counting...230.84 HP to the wheels thru Muffler 13.4 to 1 on E85

When it does it ,it sounds like it choking or gasping for air kinda.i know its actually not an air restriction problem(stand off lid,no air filters or stack screens).hard to believe its valve float with properly set up new cb650 springs tho. |

If you keep flooring it at the 6000 mark what does it do? Does it want to just die out? Does the firing get erratic or does it full on stumble like poor mixture?
Could it be a bad ECU or coil that isn't able to handle the RPM? _________________ 1967 Bug ( the daily rod )

The oval gas cap is not vented enough. I have run into this before. Try a little run with the cap off. If it still does it. Look elsewhere, but the tank still needs to be vented. |
