I'd suggest leaving the old pedal pad in place to grant more "Rocket Box cred." Onlookers will know you're a serious boxer and in no way a noob when they see you plant your muddy boots on a pad with some obvious miles on it.

Look at the wear on that step. That dude is so OG I'll bet he calls a hashtag a pound sign. Laughing

I’m all about street cred.
And thats the clutch pad which I mistakenly chose’cuz it was less worn.
I might have to switch it back to the brake pad which had more “cred”.

Incidentally this brake pedal came from the “Vanabolt”. 🤣🤣

Street cred AND unique provenance. Cool.

I like the latest rev. For some reason having a pedal floating midship doesn't raise any questions for me, lol! Any issue with the screws loosening up over time? I suppose Riv-nuts could always be added down the road to remedy that.

I used M8 riv nuts.

I had to re-weld the pedal to square it up.

Washers the thickness of the door card.
Otherwise it would pull the rivnuts out.
Its really stable, it doesn't move at all.
I don't think it will come loose.

I must have missed when you switched from sheetmetal screws to M8's. Lining up riv-nuts with countersunk hardware is always a fun endeavour. Well done!

I used 1/8 pilots with a rotabroach holecutter, it was dicey.
And luckily the rivnuts came down at center.

Ideally this would have a triangular 3-holer nutplate with an "extension handle" maneuvered from the ashtray hole.
