To check if the thin middle is low, bolt the manifold to head with out the gasket, then shine a torch into the manifold throat and see if light shines into the next port
You'll need a pencil torch for this and do it in a dark ish place |

50/50.. sometimes it’s the middle, sometimes it’s not. It’s it’s in the back of a 1970 bus so pretty dark lol. The manifolds are a few years old (only used part of the build) so am wondering if they are a bit warped.
It’s annoying as when it’s running sweet it’s an amazing motor, pushes my bus along very well. Done 3200 miles without a since overhauling motor but this has become a thing in the last 1000 or so. Had a to do gaskets 4-5 times in that time frame |

If everything checks out flat and true.
Use the Locktite 518 sparingly. Don't goop it on, or you'll have sealant squoosh out into the intake ports.
518 is anaerobic (cures in the lack of atmosphere) in nature. So if it's in the air stream. It will not cure. _________________ I have learned over the years.
