Sorry about the delay in getting these photos up. They are of the sun visor clips on my restored 1967 beetle sedan. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if they are duplicates of the original 67 clips or a generic clip suitable for several model years. They are different than those in the photos you posted however.

Thank you very much! I expect to order something similar to your posting. The 'vert has the combination rearview mirror/light with a shared screw for mounting the clip. I think what you posted makes more sense. Thanks again. |

Very early 67.edition, using 66 parts until they used em up, IE: front seats
Original purchase date .10-8-1966
Currently have it up for sale..my plan was to keep it but with OG slotted painted wheels.
If I didnt like ovals better Id keep it, but, I have another oval on the way. This one is looking for a new home.

Yeah, I noticed that right after I posted it.
Thanks, I bought it with the black stealies just as it looks in the first couple of pics. Love the way it looks there, but I also love the way smoothies look on it, I plan to put over rider bumpers on to go with the smoothies and rack, and change it up every now and then to go back and forth between the T bars, black stealies, maybe even get some 5 spokes and/or brick red smoothies with black moons. Just change of pace every so often. |

I just picked up a Zenith Blue '67. Unfortunately I can't add it to the registry, since it's not on the original pan and the ID tag under the hood has been removed. Not exactly sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but it's too nice to cut up. I think we've got a titled '67 pan around here somewhere, so I might round up some parts and put it together.

Just got a 67 a couple weeks ago. 117358541 I wish I knew what this color was, I have a new hood and fender to paint up. I believe the original color was a red of some sort. You can kinda see some red showing through under the dash. If anyone know what this color is called please chime in Other than that it has some decent bones. 1600 dp with no serial number stamp.

I thought I had registered my car when I got it, but dont see it on the PDF on the first page...no biggie . Vin# 117-201-616 Early to Mid Sept. 66 and I think the OG engine HO-398663 match up time wise from the info I have found. Originally Java Green but with a poor re-paint of a darker green, other than the Driver side front fender I think all the other fenders and doors are OG to the car. I avoided buying a 67 over the years as I didnt want to hassle with all of the one-year parts associated with the 67s, it really hasnt been that bad finding parts for repairs or up grades . I havent wanted to get a Birth Cefitifacate, as the ones I have seen lately are not as informative as years ago. A photo of the car when I got it and a fairly recent one also, Iam trying to go with an early Rally Bug theme. Thanks

ya, it was definitely installed wrong. The generator backing plate in the fan shroud was 90 degrees off. I've since swapped it out for an alternator because the generator was shot.

If this is still running I would be happy to chime in. I acquired a 1967 last fall. It is pretty much all there including the unique bits. The only things missing that I can see are the distributor(not hard), the front driver's fender(harder) and the rear seat bottom(no problem, I think). Air cleaner, engine tin, generator, seat belt holder, front seats, radio, carburetor, etc all seem to be there. Here is the stats for it:
-VIN117536466
-Engine HO625053
-Colour VW blue, white interior
-Date of birth: roughly mid February 1967

#187 on the registry. Just completed a 10+ year everything off restoration/resurrection. I had an original 67 vert passed down from my father that was stolen in 1989. Went out and bought a new one 11 years ago and turns out someone had completely transformed it into a 68+: engine, doors, seats, fenders, wheels/brakes/axels, roof, the list was endless. Damage everywhere and shoddy repairs throughout, it was held together by rust. Fully restored to a stock 67 with many original, genuine VW parts including the fender, bumpers/bumper guards, front seat belts, roof latches, roof frame, seats, lights, gas tank. All hoses, rubber and inner guts were replaced. Engine rebuilt on a 67 engine block. Everything is fully operational like the day it was driven off the car lot.
Super nice! Please just two tone the wheels to make it perfect!

If you've not listened to the "Let's Talk Dubs" podcast on the '67 only differences, it's worth doing. Frenchy Dehoux and Dean Kirsten go into great detail about most...but not all...the one year only differences on the '67. I sure learned a few new things about the minutia of 1967 beetles.
