I have an original horn in my beetle I am restoring and can't get a good bench test. Any help would be appreciated. Video below describes what has been done.

If me: if horn didn't work simply hooked up to positive and negative of battery, I'd just purchase new.

Have you adjusted the points with the horn powered on and assembled?

| Not mounted to the car, but I have adjusted the points in and out with the set screw with the horn fully assembled. |

I was trying to keep the original but I may need to just get a diff horn. |

| I tried to repair my original 67 horn, but ended up buying a new one from WW. |
