Don’t kid yourself. In those days you couldn’t see the local mountains just a few miles away in the background _________________ Jack Staggs

I think he’s referring to the lack of pickups, Suburbans, Willys, Internationals, Vans, etc, etc... you know, the modern equivalent to a SUV. |

understood. It was only pointed out that you can't see in the distance due to pollution. So the "old days" had good and bad aspects..... _________________ regards

I'm sure it's probably been done, but I can imagine that the Pocono area was at some point a breeding ground for old VWs, specifically buses.
The tourist industry in relation to the Pocono region was insane. Camps, retreats, resorts, etc all littered that entire area of PA. Many are abandoned to this day and sit rather unmolested. There are a few abandoned resorts that I've explored. Honeymoon suites with newly-wed messages written in the cabinets of dressers and nightstands, heart-shaped jacuzzi's. You name it, they had it out there.
Anyways, it wouldn't surprise me if that bus is sitting somewhere to this day... |

My new favorite bus photo. Those girls are bringing it!

Stark's Vacuum is a great local business in Portland, Oregon. Saw this picture hanging on the wall when I went in to replace a 25 year old vacuum.
